A better and simplier fix for bug #2556677 (pre-froyo->froyo calendar schema upgrade mangles CalendarMetaData schema, causing strange instance expansion issues) We need to clean the Instance table and recreate the CalendarMetaData table when database version is between 59 and 66 included.
